Garment repairs
and restoration
Zips, blown seams, moth holes, panel replacement and re-waxing for the clothes you refuse to give up on. Most repairs back within five working days, from $25.
Repairs are a third of what we do
A good garment earns its scars. The job of our repair bench is to keep the story going: new zips in old jackets, patches that look intentional, linings replaced before the shell gives up.
We repair for longevity, not invisibility. Visible mending where it suits the garment, hidden work where it does not. You get a say in which, unless you tell us to just make it right.
The honest rule at this bench: if the repair costs more than half the replacement, we tell you. Sometimes you still want it fixed because it is yours, and that is fine too.
Repair prices
Quoted on inspection. The common jobs and what they run.
| Job type | Price (AUD) |
|---|---|
| Zip replacement, jacket or pants | $35–60 |
| Blown seam restitch | $25–45 |
| Patch or panel replacement | $40–90 |
| Lining replacement, jacket | $140–220 |
| Re-wax a waxed jacket | $85 |
| Full jacket rebuild | $180–280 |
We will always quote before cutting. If a garment is genuinely beyond saving, the inspection costs you nothing.
Inherited and vintage pieces get a free assessment first. Some things are worth more as they are, and we will tell you which.

The repair bench crew
Repairs split between Tom on the machine work and Dan on the forensic jobs: the vintage pieces, the weird constructions, the is-this-even-possible pile. If it can be fixed, this bench has probably fixed worse.
