What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser. They can remember preferences, keep you logged in, or follow you around the internet. This site does the first kind and none of the others.

The cookie we set

  • uwc-cookies-ok — remembers that you answered the cookie banner, so it does not ask again on every visit. Stored for one year, contains only the word yes or no.

What we do not use

No Google Analytics cookies, no Meta pixel, no advertising or tracking cookies of any kind. The map embedded on the contacts page is served by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when you interact with it; that is Google's cookie, not ours, and it is covered by their policies.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies. In Chrome it is under Settings, Privacy and Security. Deleting ours just means the banner asks again next visit, nothing else breaks.

If we ever add more cookies, this page gets updated first and the banner will ask again. Last review: October 2026.

No. There are no analytics or advertising cookies on this site. The only cookie stores your answer to the banner itself.

Because you deserve to know, and because it is good practice. It also gives you a clear way to say no, even though the cookie is harmless.

When you interact with the embedded map, Google may set its own cookies under its own policies. We cannot control those; using the map link instead of the embed avoids them.
